Title: Temporary Bliss (Bliss # 1, New Erotic Romance Series)
Author: BJ Harvey
Release Date: August 29, 2013

Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn’t want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn't).

That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'. They know the score, they know they're not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys.

Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completely on its head. Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feel again, and when Daniel pushes for more than she’s willing to give, she falters.

What do you do when something that you’ve known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?

If you’re Mac, you run and hide.

But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

We reach the park about fifteen minutes later, our progress hindered by my sky high boots that my feet are now complaining to me about...a lot! Pier Park closed early for the night, scuttling our plans to take a few rides on the Ferris wheel. “Are your feet sore? Do you want to just take a slow walk around the pier?”

“Sounds good, but I’m gonna take these torture devices off my feet,” I say as I find a park bench and sit down, bending over to pull them off.

“Let me.”

He gets down on one knee and holds my ankle, unzipping the boots and sliding the first one off. He then starts rubbing his hands into my feet, kneading them firmly. I can’t stifle the moan that escapes me as I lean back against the bench and enjoy the blissful foot rub I’m currently being given.

“That feels so good,” I groan as he continues his massage. He then turns his attention to my other foot, his touch on my skin so light, yet his heat burns through me in a direct line to my now aching core. This is the most drawn out foreplay I’ve ever experienced, and I almost don’t want it to end.

Once he’s finished, he stands back on his feet, my super pretty boots in one hand while he pulls me up with the other. “Better?” he asks, kissing my temple.

“Much. You better watch out, though. I might have to keep you stashed in the corner of my bedroom as my personal foot massage slave,” I say with a laugh.

His eyes grow dark, full of hunger and desire. “You wouldn’t have to force me to stay in your bedroom, Mac.”

“The idea of it makes me hot,” I reply with a wink.

Release Day Blitz and Giveaway - Two Roads by L.M. Augustine

18071872TITLE: Two Roads
AUTHOR: L.M. Augustine
GENRE: Young Adult
AMAZON: Two Roads

The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers.

Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life.

But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty.

And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all…

Two Roads is New Adult Romance about finding love, standing out, and learning to embrace who you are. It contains some language and mild sexual content.

Blog Tour, Review, and Giveaway - Truth by Aleatha Romig

Claire Nichols endured the CONSEQUENCES of Anthony Rawlings’ vendetta.

When she first arrived to his home, her goal was survival. Through strength and compartmentalization Claire captivated her captor. Her resilience in the face of his rule threatened Anthony’s well developed plan. Domination became desire and power turned to love.

Their passion and adoration in a world of opulence appeared perfect. Yet, reality was a roller coaster of emotion. Claire’s world teetered on the edge of sanity as Anthony monitored her every move. When given the opportunity to flee, Claire drove away. A fateful decision which set a well laid plan into motion.

However, unbeknownst to either of them, there were others who saw past the perfect facade of Anthony Rawlings. There were others who saw the TRUTH.

Conspiracy and unfulfilled promises result in an early prison release for Claire. Not just a release – a pardon. According to the law, her crime never happened!

Will it be that easy? Faced with freedom from her past... can Claire seize it? Can she build a new life, mend her broken spirit, become the woman she once was, and seek her own revenge? Or is it all a game? And does the game master have different plans?

How does Sophia Burke fit into the puzzle that is Tony and Claire? Will her presence affect the future of this well esteemed man? Can he dominate twice? Is that his goal?

TRUTH continues the tumultuous saga of CONSEQUENCES, introduces new players, and uncovers more intrigue. Aleatha Romig skillfully weaves past transgressions through current deception to create a fervent world of obsessed desire. In this reality can an all-consuming relationship survive?
When buried sins are discovered they threaten not only Tony and Claire’s future -- but their very lives! Will the TRUTH be revealed in time?

My Two Cents:

5+ Significant Mind-Blowing OOOOO’s

You want the Truth, you know you do!

Desperately seeking the Truth myself, the very second I finished devouring Consequences, I immediately began consuming Truth. Yes, CONSUMED, GULPED, WOLFED DOWN! I was a glutton! But HOLY MINDF*#K! Truth begins with an emotional roller coaster ride that doesn’t ever seem to end. The inevitable twists & turns and additional deceptions will once again keep you wavering on the edge of sanity.

Always expect the unexpected. That pretty much sums up this storyline. You’re already aware that every action has a CONSEQUENCE. Anthony Rawlings has made that perfectly clear!
“In their figurative game of chess, Anthony Rawlings had Claire in check. Every move she made, he countered.”
There are events taking place in this story that you truly don’t see coming! It’s an endless mind trip that leaves your head reeling and spinning in ways you never believed possible.

After completing Consequences, I hated Tony, despised the man with my whole being. There has been no fictional character I could recall up to this point that I’ve loathed as much as him! The despondence I felt for Claire was nearly palpable. The truly talented author manages to evoke reactions so passionately embedded within the reader. Using her gift for incredible storytelling, she reaches from within the book pages and grabs hold of our entire being, arousing our emotions with her carefully chosen words and consistently keeping us on our toes.  I am in awe of Aleatha Romig’s extraordinary writing and her ability to essentially take a man who seemed so inconceivably unredeemable and somewhat turn the tables on us as readers. Could we possibly feel sorry for him?  No, No, that’s just not right!
Not wanting to provide any spoilers, I will leave you to form your own conclusions and let you figure that one out on your own.

I so admired Claire’s new-found strength. While seeking to re-establish her newly gained independence she managed to develop such a fresh sense of confidence and was determined to beat Tony at his own twisted games, even while constantly looking over her shoulder. She forms unexpected alliances and definitively takes matters into her own hands. I couldn’t help but shout out, “YOU GO, CLAIRE! YOU GO, GIRL!”
“Mr. Anthony Rawlings had a lesson to learn and Claire claimed the role as teacher.”
New characters are introduced and to make matters even more interesting, a love triangle develops. Just wait until you meet Harry, so caring and handsome and smart and sexy and…well, you’ll just need to experience him for yourself. Sigh…

To relieve some of the emotional intensity, humorous moments appeared to give us a giggle, which were quite frantically needed.
“I know you enjoy coffee, I´d offer you some. But, the last time I got you coffee, it didn't work out so well for me." Tony smirked, "God, Claire you're something else. I can´t imagine anyone else joking about that." "Well, see, you misinterpreted. I wasn´t joking. I´m actually still pissed as hell.”
Tony poured wine into each glass and handed one to Claire. “Do you remember when we had wine at the Red Wing?” Claire closed her eyes, recalling the scene from a lifetime ago, and nodded. “I do.” “I’d been watching you for years. I was so nervous that night. I thought I was planning your acquisition.” He looked into his red liquid. Her stance straightened, “If you’re using business metaphors, may I suggest hostile takeover. It’s more appropriate.”
Having read this series a few months ago, I’ve been touting its brilliance to any of my friends who will listen and anyone else who asks for a book recommendation. Simply stating I LOVE this series just doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about it. I’m impatiently waiting for the third and final installment, Convicted to be released this October. If you enjoy adventurous reads; mystery mixed with romance; books that will truly make your heart race, your body tense, your mind reel, then this is the perfect series for you. It will leave you experiencing a wide array of emotions from happy to confused to angry to sad and once again desperately wanting, needing even more. I promise you these characters and their unique story will remain with you for a very long time.

“Shit. I wish I would have known she was going to ambush you. I wouldn’t have left.”

I don’t say anything because I’m actually glad he’s not here. I’ve only seen Chris once since the night I found out that Abigail’s parents don’t want us in her life; the night I lost her for the second time.

“I’m fine. Are you on your way home?”

He’s silent for a moment. “Xander and I have one more conference call in a few minutes then I’ll be on my way. Are you going to be there?”

“No. I’m going out to dinner with your mom then I’m heading back to the dorm.”

The silence between us is filled with all the things we haven’t said to each other since the night I rejected his marriage proposal five weeks ago.

“Are you coming over for Thanksgiving next week?”

There’s a note of desperation in his voice that makes me want to forget my Thanksgiving plans to be with him. “I can’t. I already promised Senia I’d go to her parents’ house.”

I want to add that I will definitely be there for Christmas next month, but December 25th seems so far away and insignificant right now.

“Tell Senia I said hi.”

“I will.”

There’s a brief pause where I feel like both of us are holding our breath, trying not to blurt out something we’ll regret.

“Have fun at dinner. I guess we’ll talk later.”

I end the call and finally notice Jackie. She’s staring at me with that knowing look; the look of a mother who, without a single word spoken, can see and feel her child’s pain. I bite my lip as I try not to let her see what is so plainly obvious.
