Fifty Shades of Possible Like

Today, Barbie Kavetsky from the Fifty Shades of Grey Examiner posted what some would construe as good news, FINALLY! However, reader beware. It's all hearsay as suggested from Twitter tweets. As for me, I'm leaning toward the side of possible truth. I won't fully believe it until I see it with my own eyes and hear it with my own ears from a truly reliable source. BUT, it sounds to me like this could be teetering on the edge of truth. So, there you have it, my noncommittal opinion. Yes, I'm the one that always researches all those chain emails on Snopes. What can I say, once a skeptic, always a skeptic! Follow the link above if you're interested.

Cover Reveal: Lost in Distraction by B.J. Harvey

In the three years after a horrible crime claimed her family, Elise Halliwell has been alone, shut off from the world in a self-imposed emotional exile. She goes through the motions, finishes high school and moves across country to start college and begin the next step in her pre-destined life.

But her exile is dramatically cut short by the entrance of a dark haired, blue-eyed, smirking man who shakes her to the core, achieving what everyone else before him has failed to do, he makes her feel again.

As much as he wishes it were different, fate has not brought Braxton James into Elise’s life, or has it.

Brax has to keep her safe from people in her life who have ulterior motives and may want to hurt her.

Elise has no idea the threat she faces, and Brax wants to make sure it stays that way. But as Brax struggles with getting close to her, he begins to live a lie.

Unable to resist the pull that is Elise’s bright green eyes, infectious giggle, and loving heart, he finds it impossible to stay away, so the double life of being Elise’s boyfriend and keeping her safe begins.

Full of twists and turns, danger and revelations that no-one could predict, you won’t be the only one lost in distraction.
Lost in Distraction by BJ Harvey

Cover Reveal Teaser

Brax and I decided to spend the day apart so that I could concentrate on a paper that’s due, because we struggle to get anything done when we’re together. After finally finishing the paper, I send him a text to see if he wants to come over tonight.

Elise: Wanna come over tonight? I’m all finished now

Brax: Of course darlin, I’ll grab some food and head over in about half an hour.

Smiling at his immediate reply, I decide it’s time to tease him a bit.

Elise: I’m sure you can think of ways to build up an appetite when you get here…

Brax: Dammit woman, how am I supposed to concentrate now!

Elise: As long as you’re focussed when you get here, I’m not worried ;)

Now, I know I’m being brazen, but after the morning wake-up call Brax gave me a few days ago, I can’t wait to be with him again.

I sent that text over an hour ago and now I’m getting nervous. I’ve been on edge all day anyway because I’ve decided that tonight is the night. I’m going to tell him about my past, all of it, warts and all. I don’t want to hide my darkness from him any longer, and although I don’t have nightmares when I’m with Brax, there are still a lot of those times. I want him to see my dark side, so I can be sure he is the one to show me the light.

Another hour passes with no sign of Brax. I text him to check that he’s still coming over. After still not getting a reply from him, I realise it has now been over three hours since he said he’d be here. Now I’m really starting to worry. This is really unlike him, usually if he’s running late he’d let me know.

I’m about to give up and head to bed when I hear a knock at the door followed by a loud thump against the wall outside. I rush over and look through the peep hole, but I can’t see anyone on the other side. I decide to open the door since I’m in a secure building, surely it can’t be too bad.

I open the door, my high-pitched scream echoing through the night at what I see.

Fifty Shades of Dislike

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fifty Shades of Grey, the movie is slated for a possible summer 2014 release. Summer 2014? That's more than one year away. ONE WHOLE YEAR! For those of us anxiously awaiting to see the Christian Grey on the big screen, this seems like an eternity. More than an eternity. Universal Pictures chairman, Adam Fogelson had this to say during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
THR: Give us an update on the Fifty Shades movie. Some think you aren't moving quickly enough to capitalize on the buzz.
Fogelson: I certainly understand why some people might take that point of view. But I don't believe that [author EL James] had any interest in going to a studio where rushing it into production was the vision. I don't believe that the second or third film would have benefited from that strategy. And I think that there are totally legitimate questions about what this book is as a movie. I will tell you that it is an absolute priority for us. It's conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer.

THR: Is it true you asked Angelina Jolie to direct?
Fogelson: No. We're involved in a different project [the World War II drama Unbroken] with her. But we have had really, really interesting, great conversations with talented, serious filmmakers.
Say it ain't so, Adam! Say it ain't so!

Millions of women all over the world are crawling into bed tonight with their Fifty Shades books and crying themselves to sleep.

She eats way too much chocolate, is sort of a mad scientist with her blender, and spends an unhealthy amount of time LOLing on Facebook and Twitter. THREE, the deception that has unfolded before me has the power of life and death.

Sixteen year old, Breanna Davis, has heard the saying; life isn’t always what it seems…well, that saying rings true now more than ever. As horrifying visions appear before her, revealing tragedies that will forever change the fate of those she loves, she realizes that she may be the only person who can stop them from becoming reality

About the Author:

Jaime grew up in a small town in Northern California. Having a passion for dance and music, never would she have thought herself to become an author.

In late 2008, a story was born and a writer was developed. Jaime found the pieces of her novel beginning to take form and soon she had a full novel in her hands. Awaken is Jaime's first published novel. With many features still in the works, this debut novel is just a taste of the action-packed romantic thrillers to come from this aspiring new author.

Jaime is a committed wife and mother of 3, who loves life and doesn’t take anything for granted.

Sneak Peek:

I stood there, silently watching him, my mind willing me to move forward, but my body remained frozen. My heart began to beat heavily, the way it always does when he comes into view.  He was just ten feet away from me now. I felt lightheaded and found it difficult to breathe.

I decided this time I had to move slowly. I had to focus on slowing down my mind to take everything in.
I took one step closer, studying him carefully. His dark, almost black hair glistened in the descending sun. Even though I wasn’t looking directly at his face just yet, his beauty took my breath away. I felt it coming, one more step and he would know I was here.
I was anxious to see his face again, but unwilling for our encounter to end. I took a deep breath and moved, as if the simple action of taking each step was timed, he turned and rose to his feet, his face blank. I thought my heart was going to race out of my chest. I hoped for a sign this time, some kind of acknowledgment from him. Was he happy to see me? Was I not what he was expecting? What secret thoughts were running through his mind?
I knew the time had come. No more stalling, I had to go to him. I began moving toward the stream where he stood.  This time, I would look directly at him, look into his eyes and make myself known.
“Bre, this is Collin,” a voice introduced me as I approached. Though the voice was somehow familiar, I was oblivious to who had said it. All I cared about was making sure I captured this moment in every detail.  Collin’s deep, royal blue eyes looked into mine and I realized I had never felt like this before.  My nerves flared with an intensity that burned deep within me and held me captive in his gaze. Every bit of him was perfect.
His silky hair fell perfectly over each side of his face. Occasionally, a strand or two would move gently across his forehead and dance along his eyes. His shirt melted into his chest, making it impossible for me to ignore the definition of his body.
He slowly lifted his hand, gesturing for me to take it. “It’s nice to meet you Bre.” His bright smile stretched across his mouth as he waited for me to respond.

I swallowed, knowing what was going to happen next. I tried again to slow my mind down even more, pleading with myself to make this moment last. When I couldn’t hold on any longer, I reached out my hand in one last attempt to succeed. But I failed, and woke up.
